The Pererenan Cliff is a great place to stop on the west coast of Penida.
Thereโs a white-knuckle hiking path on the cliffside that you can use to climb down to the bottom of the coast, where you can see a small waterfall called Seganing Falls.
This travel guide will explain how to get there, and everything you need to know before you go!Where To Stay In Nusa Penida
Pererenan Cliff Point
From the parking area, if you take a right youโll arrive at Pererenan cliff point, a great view with tons of tiny manta rays swimming around in the ocean below.
Thereโs a rickety wooden platform here that you can climb onto for even better views of the cliffs.
In the distance you can see a Hindu temple out there on the point, but Iโm not sure if access is allowed to tourists.
Seganing Falls
If you go left from the parking area, youโll get another view of the Banah rock and then a steep path to hike down to a small waterfall called Seganing Falls. This hike takes about 30-45 minutes and itโs not sandal friendly.
The falls at the bottom are nothing amazing, more of a small stream than a waterfall, but itโs still a neat spot to check out. Thereโs a nice natural pool to swim in at the bottom too.
The cliffside path is quite an adrenaline rush, as you can see!
Entrance Fees
The parking fee is 15k IDR ($1 USD) as of 2020, but they donโt always collect it.
How To Get To Pererenan Cliff Point & Seganing Falls
The Pererenan cliffs are on the west side of Nusa Penida island.
This spot is accessible by car or scooter, about 1 hour drive from the main docks and accommodation in northern Penida. The road here can be pretty rough, so take it easy.

Nusa Penida Private Driver
If you want to explore Nusa Penida in the comfort and safety of a van with a driver, my top recommendation would be GetYourGuide.
They offer a full day of driving and sightseeing in Penida (up to 8 hours) for 1-5 passengers. This tour includes the whole van + driver + petrol.
We've used GetYourGuide for lots of tours and activities around the world, and they're great! Highly recommended.

Where We Stayed
We stayed at Saren Villa on the north coast of Nusa Penida, and paid 240k Rupiah ($15 USD) for a private double room with cold A/C, hot shower, and good WiFi.
This is one of the cheapest options in Penida, and it's in a great location near the best restaurants! We were happy.
Prices may fluctuate from time to time, so just keep an eye out for a good deal.
